The fundamental difference in their views on foreign policy stems from their different perspectives on the nature of the world. Republicans emphasize the diversity of the world, i.e. they accept that it consists of different civilizations. They are of course in favor of regulating international relations, i.e. relations between states. However, they believe that no country or international organization can interfere in the internal politics of individual states. They choose allies based on geopolitical interests that coincide with those of the United States. They do not intend to reshape the world or impose American standards on it. They conduct foreign policy primarily in such a way that American interests in the world are secured. This does not mean spreading American influence everywhere. We often deal with a policy of American presence in various regions of the world in order to block the domination of states hostile to the United States in individual regions. Once, the basis for the Republican view of the world was Huntington's book "Clash of Civilizations". Today, there is a more up-to-date interpretation of their vision of the world in the form of a book by Israeli scholar Yoram Hazony published in Poland entitled "In Praise of the Nation State".
